Eating to live?
OR
Living to eat?
Those are hard questions? Maybe.
Do you do a little of both? More of another?
I've had a lot of people ask me how I eat like this, what do I eat, and why?
Here are just a few things to hopefully get you inspired.
There are some netflix documentaries that are super educational about food.
I have learned so much about a PLANT BASED DIET.
They are: Food Inc. , Fat-Sick-and nearly Dead, and Forks over knives
If you are serious about living then you really do need to eat right. There just isn't anyway around it.

Remember that saying...."you are what you eat".
So if you feel crappy, it's probably because you eat that way.
I've learned that almost every ailment is usually linked to poor eating.
WOW! Hard to hear?
I've had to go on a very strict diet for this valley fever.
No sugar.
No white flour.
No processed foods.
No dairy.
No meat. (we don't need meat!) (protien is in so much of plant based foods)
I've had to figure out how to eat again. After a month I think I've got the hang of it. I also have to say I'm not sure I could have gone this extreme if I hadn't been so SICKK!!!
There is much I CAN eat. I promise. (See all those veggies and fruits above)
Good things happen when we get rid of the bad stuff in our diets.
My pallet has changed. I don't crave things. I NEVER have blood sugar drops or spikes. I think fruit is dessert. (it's so sweet) I also think I taste on a whole new level. Food straight from the earth is actually good. I don't need much with additives like dressings and sauces.
I use fresh spices to enhance flavors.
This is what I drink every morning using my omega juicer, that I love!
I put 2 ribs of celery, 4 long stems of kale, 2 small cucumbers, 1/2 green apple, 1/2 a lemon, & fresh ginger root...... in and this amazing juice full of nutrients comes out!

Be prepared the first couple of times you drink it your body will react. It's cleansing its self.
So you may feel sick or be in the bathroom for a while! Ha.
Your body will get used to it and actually want it.
This is also what I take at breakfast. Natural herbs. They all help do heal different things in my body.
The B-complex vitamins are so amazing! I can't believe the difference they make. Women especially need them daily. For now I am mega dosing on them to help my body.
I also take a probiotic first thing in the morning prior to all the herbs, and green drink. I've learned so much about the benefits of probiotics. We need them!
The Larabars are like the most simple bar you can find.
Only 3-4 ingredients.
No added stuff.
My favorites are: banana bread, carrot cake, and if I want to indulge I get the chocolate coconut.
Pumpkin seeds are so good for you! Read up on their benefits.
Grains too are so good for our bodies. They are full of protein.
Beans, and legumes too.
Hope this inpires you to eat better.
Start small. Baby steps!

I am with you. I don't think we need much meat, if at all. We eat mostly plant based food at home, but, my family will eat meat at school, work, whenever they get the chance. Do your kids and husband eat what you eat?
They are catching on. I offer way more veggies than meat. But, like I said it's important to baby step into it.
will you do a cooking class for me?! i have seen all of those documentaries, read books and 100% agree with you. my problem is i haven't been compelled like you with an illness that has pushed me to really implement it all! also, it intimidates me because i'm not good at preparing food anyway. i may be calling you t pick your brain. i'm so glad you are doing better!!
