Scot's 38th Birthday

We have celebrated 21 years together. Scot was 17. I was 16.
And this is where our story began.

I found this picture in one of Scot's memory books and was sad to see that it was slightly torn at the bottom.
Another wonderful year full of great memories........and a great day to remember how much we love our favorite Dad.
To get the celebration started we went for our traditional breakfast at "Wildflower". We reminded Jack this morning that we were going and he said that he really wanted to just stay home today. Scot mentioned that he would be the only one home since everyone else was coming. His reply "Tino will be here with me". Let me explain: Tino is the painter that was coming this morning to do some touch up work. This child really likes to be HOME. With some prodding we were finally able to get him to come. Tino was thanking us!
After breakfast we dropped the kids at home. Scot and I left for a few hours and headed north to do some shopping and dining together. We were in pursuit of the perfect gift. Not sure what that was.......but, I sure found some great bargains! Oh, and got some Christmas shopping done too! Scot kept looking at me with that look like "aren't we here for my birthday?". I was getting sidetracked. We happened upon the cutest quaintest little shops in downtown Phoenix. Really neat clothing, jewelry, etc...... There was even a sweet shop called "Smeeks" that we went into. They had so much of the candy from when we were kids. It was a blast from the past. Of course Scot got his favorite......a Chik-o-stick. We ended up at a restaurant that we had heard so much about called "Le Grand Orange". Some really great pizza! Well worth the find. If had a bakery attached to it that was so fun to browse through. We left with some cookies and red velvet cake.
They were so goooooood! While we were in this bakery we could both hear and smell the rain coming down hard. We looked at each other and said it just wouldn't be a day to remember without RAIN!
We just can't remember a wonderful experience without the Rain! The perfect end cap to a wonderful day! Oh how I love the smell of rain........and the perfect person to smell it with!
Happy Birthday, Scottie.
