back in the swing of things

It was so good to have a regular week of just regular activities back in the rotation.
Last week was crazy to say the least with all the Halloween festivities and Jack being sick on top of that. So I feel back in sync with life.
My church calling has been very busy with all the activities that are coming our way in the next few weeks. We leave tomorrow for Youth Conference (an overnighter up at Lomia). The great thing is Scot and Jess will be up there with me. Then right before Thanksgiving we have our 140th celebration for YW. This is going to be so fun, can't wait.
Many good things coming.
We have finally got a date on the calendar for Jess's court of honor. This whole process has been a "PROCESS"! I went out with Jess today to take some pictures for this night. He was not thrilled. 20 shots later I think I may have something to work with.

Handyman Scot has been at work......he changed out our kitchen faucet. I guess 5 years on a faucet really is about all the life it has in it. It just died. Started leaking. So at 10:30 p.m. he changed out the old for the new. We are at that 5 year mark in our home (we have never been in a home this long) where everything is starting to fall apart. Scot already reset all the toilets this summer and re-caulked the master shower. Our kitchen light has also been on the list for replacement. Not only was I so done with the style of it but the wax around the candles were starting to melt and turn brown. That was a fun replacement to make. I found a creative light from potterybarn that is shaped like a 3-tier chandelier. One each tier it has clips that go around to clip whatever you please. So you can change with the seasons. I will take a picture and post it. Just haven't had a chance yet. So fun.

Grandma and Grandpa are coming tomorrow to help with the younger kids while we are up north. Josh is making his famous "potato soup" that he mastered in his cooking class. You are in for a real treat Mom and Dad. I think Mom likes it because she doesn't have to cook.

Off to bed .....I have an early start.
