We said goodbye this last week to Joshua.
We have enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends these last few weeks, as Josh gave his farewell talk, had an open house, and was set-apart as a Missionary. How grateful we are to share these moments with you. We are blessed.
There are certain moments you never forget as a mother. Moments that will be forever engraven on the heart.....this is one.
For me this is saying goodbye to more than just Josh, it's saying goodbye to his childhood.
Never have we been seperated for more than 2 weeks since he was born.
2 years is a huge separation. A first.
But at some point it's time for boys to go off to become men.
Definitely well worth the sacrifice for what growth will occur for him.
So we say goodbye.
I never knew that a part of my heart could go with each of my children. But, it does.
This was posted as they arrived in LA before boarding to Guatemala. Tender Mercy for a worried mother to wake up to this photo. Our son is surrounded by strength.
He later emailed a short note when he arrived that next morning to the CCM.
Said he was super tired but very happy to be there. Also mentioned the spirit was strong and the camaraderie amongst the Elders was great.
STRENGTH IN NUMBERS!
