Your Birthday date and the age you are turning happen to land on the same year, it's called your GOLDEN bday!
We celebrated the big 16th for liv by surprising her with 8 of her close friends for a weekend at Magic Mountain.
My brother who has 9 kids was so gracious and loaned us his 15 passenger van to make the trek.
Let's just say it was memorable.
Her girlfriends were so good about not leaking any clues. This was one of the funnest things about the whole weekend....keeping it a surprise. Rarely can I keep things from liv. She normally knows everything. Her friends said the same. In fact the day we said goodbye to Joshua, Olivia stayed home from school. Her friends said it was so nice to not have to worry about what they said for fear she'd find out. They could talk freely and be excited for the day. ha
Once we picked her up I think she thought we were just going to dinner or something.
After all the hoopla we told her to go pack her bags we were heading to magic mountain.
She burst out crying!
