From living room to Office.
This family's home is dear to me, because it's my Brothers!
NEED FOR CHANGE....They really didn't use this living room off the front entry and wanted a place to use the computer, read a book, or just talk on the phone without being disturbed!
BEFORE
AFTER
We painted the walls, built the bookcase with long shelving, and added rope lighting to it.
The perfect comfy chair and pouf were found to kick it up while reading.
The piano stayed right where it was, on that wall. It worked out great.
They also wanted to work in a desk for working at home when needed.
This open space was the perfect spot.
BEFORE
AFTER
Mixing glass with wood and leather was the combo for this set up.
A nice soft rug was added for design and comfort.
One of the biggest parts to this amazing room we created was to add 4 door panels that would seperate the office from the hall/entry. Plus it was needed for the no-disturb part.
The challenge was to accommadate both the need to be closed off and still be "open feeling". So we chose doors with large windows.
Every panel has a window to let in the light and make things feel open.
They still wanted the option to have it totally closed off if the doors were shut, so I added a curtain rod and curtains on the inside of the room to be closed as needed.
For total privacy.
This is a fiddle fig plant that are super easy to take care of. Love them. They add a natural element.
We added those special memorabilia items that always make a house a home.
This chair was a used piece we found off etsy. So sleek and masculine.

I love it all. Everything! You are so good!
Such a different feel between the before and after - love it all! And the curtains hung on the inside of the doors is genius. Great idea.
