We went north to Logan from the cabin. Stopped there and enjoyed the day and night. The Logan temple was eye-catching as we came into the valley. The flowers were so amazing! Everything was so pretty!
Shivverrrr.........brrrrrrr...............
Jack was thinking about going in.....but decided it wasn't worth it. AND....Mom.....well someone had to document the whole thing!
We drove in it looked like this.
We drove out it looked like this.
After fearing for our lives with Scot dodging wake after wake we decided it just wasn't worth it.
We took a rain ck.
From Bear Lake we made out way into Jackson Hole, WY.
This is where we spent the remainder of our trip. About 3 days.
We stayed right at the base of the Tetons. SO BEAUTIFUL! WOW!
The tram in the picture was a huge highlight everyday. We rode it up and back every night.
We had to bribe Olivia to get on it. She has height issues. She did and she loved it.
It was so high up that it went from summer to winter in 10 mins. The degree dropped significantly too.
At the bottom you wanted cool lemonade. At the top I wanted Hot Cocoa!
This was the top. It you looked up or across this is what you saw.
If you looked down this is what you saw.
One of the nights it was pretty foggy at the top. It only made the height that much more scary.
Looking at the ski runs. Not sure I would like to be that high!
One of the days we drove up into Yellow Stone park. We were sure that we would run into wildlife. NOPE. None. Nada. BUT, we did run into more weather.
We all gathered around "Old Faithful" waiting for it it erupt, and it did! That was a fun thing to see.
It was quite hot during the waiting period. Well ...hot staring into the sun. We headed into the visitors center right after where there was a warning given about a huge thunder cloud coming in..... In about 10 mins. YAH right! We were just standing out in the blasting sun with no clouds in sight.
We did not heed the warning to get in our car or stay in. We decided to hit the gift shop. On the way it started raining. Wow. I was impressed. That was fast. We still dottled. We decided when it started to HAIL that we would finally get to the car.
What a sight to see as Scot pulled up to get us huddled at the doorway with his shirt off! Running to the car he was pelted by all the hail only to jump into the car and see hail everywhere inside. He soon realized that we had left the sunroof open! Who would have thought it was going to HAIL!
So he used his shirt to soak up the seats for his waiting princesses and prince. Ha.
Old Faithful
The scenery was incredible. I never fell asleep for fear of missing anything!
The kids were so great with all the driving. With headphones it's pretty quiet.
It was a good trip with the four of us.
We survived. No animal sightings. No one hurt by hail.
Made our way back to Jackson Hole just in time for their nightly "shoot out".
We laughed on our way back about not seeing any kind of wildlife. We did eat cinnamon bears though!
Our only closeness was through sugar! Ha.
