Spring Break-Encinitas

We had an awesome reunion with the Porters.
Jack's face says it all.

Pure cousin fun
Game playing 24/7
Hot tubbing all hours of the day
Eating hot fresh doughnuts from a local favorite
Long walks
Shopping at the outlets
Playing in the waves
Falling down the enormous sand piles over and over
Waking each morning to the sound of waves
Walking through sand that felt like "warm flour" (Jack's words)
Eating at Wahoo's
Spoonfuls of Moo Time
Finding thousands of baby starfish
Making sand walls for the waves to break over

Of all those things.......this was top on the list for each day.
Jumping over the huge sand hills that were positioned right on the beach.
They were at least 15 feet high.
Over and over they took turns. Some together.

The little boys loved using their boogie boards to slide with.

Love the tricks.

I couldn't have planned this shot better!
It looks like he is matching the seagull in flight!

Falling was just as much fun.

Master Surfers

Even Dad was having his fair share of showing off.

This was the look I got when I told Jack it was time to leave. "Uh, yah right."
One afternoon he said, "Go get our dinner and bring it back here." That way he didn't have to leave until he had to when the sun went down.

Prior to meeting the Porter group for the reunion, we spent 2 days in La Jolla just our little family.
We went to a university ward on Sunday which was really interesting. Jesse and Josh had the opportunity to share their priesthood duties by blessing and passing the sacrament.
It was interesting because there weren't any youth. Just small children.
The speakers were amazing. A very smart group of members. Smart people go to Universities! :0
We visited the temple grounds. Even went up and actually touched it. It's made out of sand.
We spent another day on the beaches there. It's more of an exploring kind of area. The tides wash out far during the day so there is much to go exploring through. Olivia cut her foot quite deep on a piece of a shell while searching. Scot did his wonders at being nurse and got it all better.

I didn't get any good pictures of Olivia and so she doesn't show up in this post, but I promise she was there and had a blast.

Great memories.
