scout camp

One week amongst the strongest, most valiant, and courageous young men in the 3rd ward!
A huge success! Scot was so happy and had this look of pure joy. The leaders and youth were amazing. We couldn't ask to be in a better ward.

The look on Joshua's face says it all. He was so extremely tired looking....because he was.
He literally came home around noon, unpacked, took a shower, and then went to bed. We didn't see him until the next morning at 6:30 am.!!!! Scot went down to see if he was ok at 6:30 am. He just had the biggest grin on his face. He was well rested.

Jess's shower took him about 30 mins.!!! NO JOKE. He said he needed some soak time!

Lets just say that the home smelled wonderful for a whole week until they arrived and made it smell like a CAMP FIRE. This is the camp fire quarters while processing the laundry. I literally had them undress in there and then run to the bathroom. They were covered. They all looked like they were a few shades darker. Scot let me know that it wasn't a nice tan but just layers of dirt!

The dirt was so embedded. I guess that means they had a great time?

Scot had so many fun stories to tell. ........

--Josh got the top award in shotgun. He was so proud of himself!
--Helping Steve Mousser change his flat tire. Never laughed so hard.
--Scot waking up at 4:30 am. fully dressed wondering why no one was up yet....something about his phone and watch not syncing? He thought it was 5:30 am.
--having an older boy open his mission call with the boys looking on (so powerful)
--driving Bro. Durfee's van to the lake....Jess said he and several boys had to hold up the roof of the van the whole ride.

While these boys were having the time of their lives we (Jack, Olivia, and I) enjoyed play-dates, Olivia baby-sitting, Mom and her many meetings for camp, movies, dinners out, late nights piled in my bed, quiet mornings, and shopping at the toy store. We did enjoy our time but we sure enjoyed having them come home safe and sound.

One of our chapters etched in our memory bank. On to more.......
