We spent 7 wonderful, gorgeous, sun bathing days in the carribean. Our cruise stopped in 6 ports.
This was just one of the days......in St. Marten on the island of Pinel. It was on the French side and was a "little national geographic" if ya know what I mean.
The water was like getting into your pool. That clear, and that shallow and oh so WARM.
This particular island is like a sandbar all around. The deepest was maybe 7 ft.
My kind of beach. Where it's darker blue that is where the reef is.
As we were one of the first ones on the island that morning we went right out to the water and started exploring. Jack and Scot had a sting ray come swim up that sent Jack into a bit of a frenzy. He took some coaxing to get back in after that.
Josh found a treasure?
Waiting to take the small 10 min. ferry back to the main island.
Olivia wasn't with us because she did a dolphin excursion this day. More pics to come of that.
Just to get an idea of the depth and clarity. Incredible.
This is looking back at Pinel island as we left.
Another stop at St. Croix island on the last day proved to be one of our most favorites ever.
Said to be one of the top dive spots in the world it made for some great snorkling.
called...CANE BAY
Of course there was much fun in the sand as well.
This Cane bay had a quaint little open restraunt that we thought was the best food all of us had ever had! Jack got chicken strips and said they were the best he'd ever had. (and he's quite the conisseur in this dept.) Josh had a BLT and said the same. My veggie burger was right up there with Burger Lounge in Coronado. I wouldn't even share it with Scot when I realized how good it was. I made him get his own!
I promise there are much more to come.....
STAY TOONED!
