OUR TEMPLE CELEBRATION

ALL 26 stks. have spent 6-8 weeks practicing for this amazing event.   Something incredible happened yesterday as I looked into each of the youths faces after coming off the field.  They had just performed their number.  Their own dances is all that they've known these last few weeks.   All that they've seen.  Yesterday they got to see the whole story put together.  They performed their segment on the huge field yesterday.  We arrived by 7am and left at 10pm.  It was a long day.  But very productive.
This is a story about heros.  Bible heros who sacrificed much in their day and also about the modern day heros (the youth today) who sacrifice much to stay true to the faith and live lives that lead them to the temple.
The youth caught the whole picture of what this is all about as they preformed for each other yesterday.
Like I said, you could see it in their faces.  I complimented them as they came off about how well they did and they said, "I know!, that was the best we have ever done!" and it was.  Everyone of them also said, "wow, this IS neat".  They caught the vision.  They could now see all the many hours they had put in was worth it.  This was something pretty cool and they were a part of it.

There is a spirit that you can't explain as you watch these youth dance and sing about "choosing this Day" and "living true".  Incredible to feel. As adults we'd just look at each other and smile with goosebumps.

Next week we perform 2 different times back to back.  The last performance will be for our beloved prophet President Monson and Pres. Eyring.  This will be broadcast live to all the church buildings in the AZ valley.  Including some cable stations.

ARIEL VIEW with all 26 stks.  Ours is lime green.

The remnants from the otter-pop passing out down on the field.  We were attacked!
