GIVING THANKS

Doesn't that sound better than Thanksgiving?  Not quite as catchy but more appropriate nonetheless; not so Plymouth Rock.

So much and so many for which to give thanks.  We recognize a loving and kind Father in Heaven who bestows so much.  Their is a line in the hymn I Stand All Amazed that says "I marvel that he would descend from his throne divine, to rescue a soul so rebellious and proud as mine."  For that love, we give tremendous THANKS.

Parents who gave and continue to give love, counsel, advice, direction, etc....  Hoping we can give our children the same and that they will love us the way we love our parents.  Thanks to our parents for showing Christlike love.

Children who challenge, reward, and confuse us make life all that much more interesting.  We came to Earth to experience mortality and to learn and nothing affords us that opportunity quite like raising a child.  To our Kiddo's, we love you and thank you for your patience.

Our Church leaders, teachers and friends give us so much to for which to be thankful.  Challenges to our faith that will build us and our relationship with our Heavenly Father.  Our good Bishop who has extended a challenge to us for 2013 that asks us to forgive others.  Read this story, it will change your life: The Heart of Darkness.

We are blessed with good work, good health, and good memories.  What else could we ask for...

Scot
