It's February!

WOW!.....time has flown.

January was full of good memories.
Scot and I spent our anniversary in Coronado basking in the warmth.  We walked the island several times, ate scrumptious food, caught up on sleep, and read a bit.  It was an opportunity to re-charge the batteries.

The night prior to that get-a-way (my birthday) our Bishop extended the calling for me to be the new Primary President.  Nice .....Happy Birthday!
A little shocking!  I know hardly nothing about the Primary organization!
I guess that's why we get callings, to broaden our horizons and to stretch into it.  It's been a good month of getting acquainted.  I've been blessed with great counselors who are willing and able.  I've loved counseling with each of them as we have discussed issues and concerns.  Love them.  They will be a great strength to me.

Joshua is getting close to having his eagle project happen.  We picked a project that was at our neighboring riparian.  Several individuals have donated, and many more will, to this park.  Each person who has donated will have their name engraved onto a tile that will then be placed at the entrance of the park displayed on large pillars.  Josh will organize and lead the implementation of those tiles being viewed.  Essentially it is to be a small honoree garden when finished.

Olivia and I jetted over with our dear friends the Jolleys to Lajolla, CA.  We had such a great time laughing, staying up late, doing Disneyland, and eating at Wahoos several times!!  Jenny and I even got away to walk through the coveted antique shops lining the LaJolla cove.  We each found some things to bring home and warm up our homes.  Jenny and I live in dream land for those few days wishing we could leave our homes and live at the beach.  We tell each other that it really could be!  It's fun.  Then we come back to reality as we make that 6 hour drive back.  Slowly it starts to sink in.  We both agreed that we were so blessed to live in such an amazing area where our children can experience the church activity with strong youth.  Can't get that just anywhere.

With the new calling I received, Scot was re-leased shortly after from his YM's calling.  It's been a hard transition.  Good in some ways, hard in others.  Let's just say we have been through some emotional times in the last few weeks.  All is well.

Jess is going along just great.  Loves his outlet for skating.  Any free time is spent there.  I love hearing about all the moves he's mastered.  I just can't believe there are really that many moves you can do on a skateboard!
Jess is that little reminder to us of what we need to do.  Be calm and don't sweat too much.  He has this amazing personality that is so unlike Scot and I.  We try to learn to listen to that voice.

While in Disneyland with Olivia it dawned on me......Jack has never been there!  And......he is almost out of the stage of life that is so excited to ride most of the rides there!  Tea-cups, the Haunted House, It's a small world....
I came home and told Scot that it was mandatory that he leave to take Jack over there in the next 2 weeks.
Youth is passing him by and crowds are slim right now.  Seize the moment and go!  So they will leave in a few days for that.   The funny thing is he's been in so many amazing places and traveled with us to see much of the wonders just never Disneyland.  I guess that's what happens when your the baby of the family.
