Birthday wishes for Scot

It's been an eventful week and month. AND.......

We always look forward to celebrating our Papa's birthday after giving much thanks for him on Thanksgiving.

We are thankful that we have such a wonderful man to call Husband and Father.
He never complains about providing for us and even loves doing it. Maybe that has something to do with all the great people he gets to work with. :)
He brings a certain balance to my life, a form of reality that I often need to bring me back to the simpleness of life.

He is usally right. Well, that is when I let him know he is.

I always want to be with him. My best friend.

We had a wonderful day together yesterday as we went to the movies, shopped, and ate great food.

Earlier in the week I surprised him with a picture wall in his office. We had talked about doing it several months ago when we did the change of furniture and flooring. But, time passed and so did the thought of doing it. I love a good surpise. So, I jumped into high gear when one morning last week he said that he was golfing all day. I knew this was my chance. A birthday suprise CHANCE. I had printed previously about 12 pictures of 1/2 kids and 1/2 scenery from places we have visited. I hurridly called Hobby Lobby to see how fast they could mount them onto black foam core. I had also already planned to hang them with some IKEA pant hangers which we had. So that part was simple. When I got there to hang them with my leveler, measureing tape and ladder, I realized that I was under some pressure. He is so particular at home about how I hang things. He likes it done with a leveler while I am happy making the adjustment with my eye. I knew I'd better follow his method for best birthday outcomes. Ha.
It did take a bit more time but was well worth the percise results. I will take a picture and post later.

The funny part is that he never even noticed until sitting in his chair for about 30 mins! I even put a note on the door that said "HAPPY BIRTHDAY EARLY". Signed by me! Hmmm........I thought that would be a hint something had changed. He said he couldn't figure out whose writing it was and that he was on the phone when he walked through the door. OK. I will let it slide this once. :)- He was happy to have it up and done. I am happy that he has great things to look at and make him even more happy. A happy man. A happy woman.

Happy birthday SCOT! WE love you!
