Easter was a day of rest and relaxation.
We enjoyed conference with the kids lounging with all the blankets and couch cushions they could round up.
I am pretty sure they ate more chocolate today than they did at Christmas! We weren't even hungry for lunch! Scot made us all our "made to order" omelets (I did have some big plans to make a somewhat traditional Easter dinner but that changed quickly towards the end of the day). The kids were happy with their simple dinner and I was happy for my simple day.
Much to be grateful for this day..........
good messages that have sunk deep in our hearts. We have our work cut out putting the lessons and teachings into practice.
I recently enjoyed listening to the YW general presidency teach those who are working with the youth of our church (training that went on earlier this week). What a powerful message on ways we can CONNECT to them.
I felt the same string of messages throughout the addresses today.
Scot and I talked about how we felt after. I think it is interesting to note that we heard the same things but with different ears. We each prepare to hear the words and then the spirit speaks to us each differently. WE have different courses of action to take with the messages given.
All in all it was a touching day!
