Ok......this has got to be the cutest thing ever!!!!!!!!!Jack loves to go to the grocery store because he knows that he can get me to rent a movie out of the blockbuster movie box for $1. So, the other day I told him he could go with me and I was telling him what I needed because believe it or not he can recall this information for me while shopping. He'll say, "Oh don't forget buttermilk." Or" remember you said you needed an onion"
But this particular day he decided to do a list. The first item is MAPLE EXTRACT. Pretty good at his spelling. Oh how I will treasure this list forever. It says so much about who he is and where he is right now in his little 1st grade world.
Today I think I am coming down with what has been going around my home.......A COLD. So, I stayed home from church to get some extra rest. Well come to find out I missed out on Jack going up to sing with the primary. He gave me that look like "I got you MOM". I am always begging him to go up to do anything in front of people. He did say that he would do it again when I was there. WOW.......never say never! Can't wait!
Another filled week of concerts, work parties (making treats for those at Scot's work), getting the rest of the Christmas cards off, delivering gifts for our neighbors, and ward parties. I did also get Scot pinned down to do some much needed Christmas shopping. Phew....I think I know why I am sick.
In addition to this wonderful season of bustling we are in the heart of planning for our upcoming ward conferences staring in January. We are so much more at ease this go round seeing that we have learned so much over the past year. Busy months ahead. Grateful to be busy!
OH, and it RAINED today!
